Rabbit and the Hare Giveaway

Okay, so I've been promising all month of a little giveaway and I promise you, I haven't left it to the last minute to drag you along!

These last few weeks have been chaotic around here, between the wee time I have during the day when Leo goes down for his 30 minute naps (I kid you not..this little man fights sleep like you've never seen before..) there seems to be a mountain of chores and such boring but essential tasks that need to be done.  I've been collapsing into bed at the end of the day, exhausted that spending time in my shop has been a huge luxury, half an hour here, 20 minutes there..that time alone in my own space has been so valuable and ever so productive as a result.

Sterling, Moonstone, Nickel Brooch Findings

I've never done a giveaway on a blog before..perhaps no one will respond and there will be no one to give the giveaway to..I'm not quite sure what to expect but here we go nevertheless!
I've chosen to create something close to my heart since my time lately has only allowed me to create one special piece.  A brooch with two of my favorite things, a hare and a gorgeous, peachy grey moonstone.  Made entirely of sterling (with the exception of the brooch findings..) this brooch is..well, truth be told..really quite adorable.  I feel that it encompasses everything about my work - nature inspired, whimsical with a touch of timeless folklore.
So if you're a similar sort to me and you'd like to own this one of a kind brooch, I'd love to hear from you!
Tell me a little about yourself and well..anything else you might want to tell me!  I will be enlisting the help of a neutral person to pick your names out of a hat..okay, maybe not actually a hat but some other sort of a holding vessel anyway.  That's assuming anyone actually writes me..oh well,  hurray!  I'm excited about giving this away!  Oh, I should probably mention that the giveaway will close on July 8th and the winner announced here, on my blog on July 10th.

Looking so forward to hearing from you!

  4. What a precious giveaway, TIna. I especially love your totem pieces (hope to one day claim one of your bears!), and this hare is so sweet.

(I'm always in awe of mums who manage to be so creative when so much creative energy is required raising little ones. My brain has generally gone on holiday by lunchtime, so probably just as well I only have myself and hubby to 'look after'!)

All the best for your first giveaway! =)

  5. Hi Tina,
how generous of you to have this give-away, it's a gorgeous brooch. I love brooches, but most of my collection are vintage pieces. A lot of animals have been popular to wear as a brooch, but even though I have horses, cats, dogs, owls, fish, butterflies, deer, bears, turtles and birds - there is no rabbit in my collection. So - I would love to win this one :-). Cheers, Ines

  6. what a sweet brooch! i've had two rabbits growing up! Watership Down was one of my favorite books as a kid- I picked it out the library when I was going through the stacks alphabetically and seeing what inspired a read (Richard Adams).. If you haven't read it, it's an excellent mix of adventure and folklore- the stories came about when Adams was creating stories to tell his kids, and the rabbits in the novel have their own folk tales!

  9. What lovely work and a really lovely brooch, I'd be very pleased to win it! Moonstone and a hare how appropriate! I love hares, they're so elusive, I live in rural North Yorkshire and one early morning on the way to work I turned into the next street to find two hares playing they moved away quickly as I approached in my car but it was a very special moment. It is a very generous piece to give away and I am sure the lucky winner will be over the moon. :)

  10. Thank you BB7 - It always seems like such a magical moment when nature allows you a momentary peek into their world, doesn't it? I remember a similar time when early one winter morning, I drove around a bend in the road and came upon a family of deer enjoying the snow falling from the skies. They were gone in an instant..but years later, I still find myself thinking about that moment from time to time. xo

I love your designs, and I know it is just a matter of time until I treat myself to one of your wearable pieces of art (or perhaps buy a gift for a lucky recipient) ! Thank you for this chance to win this beautiful piece. Thanks for blogging too - this New Hampshire reader really enjoys reading your blog :o).
